Fetch a Sketch Challenge 7

Hi,

I've been beavering away again today seeing as I couldn't go to my Voluntary work. I've made 2 cards which I need to take pictures of still and decorated a gift bag and tag for the latest Fetch a sketch challenge.
Here's the sketch I followed :
Here's my decorated bag and tag:
I used an old gift bag (yes I was recycling again), some glitter paper for the top of the bag, ribbon, bakers twine and snowflake die and the same again for my gift tag. Hope it's okay. the picture of the bag seems a little muted at the right but it's like brand new in the flesh....

Challenges:
Fetch a sketch challenge 7 - follow the sketch.
ces challenge 55 - recycle - bag is recycled.
Sparkles forum challenge 21 - something that sparkles.

That's all for today.

Get Funky Challenge - At the Seaside!

Hi all,

It's been another busy week.  It'll be nice to get back into a routine after the summer hols.  It's my baby girl's 1st day at college today.  Where does the time go?  She was so nervous bless her - I can still remember my 1st day at college, it wasn't too long ago, especially if I can still remember it - I was so scared.  She's texted me to say she's got someone to hang around with so that'll make her feel better.  I'm so excited for her as it's like another chapter in her life.....  Anyway onto my card.  I've been meaning to enter this challenge all month so I'm just getting it in for the deadline.  Isn't it nice when an idea comes together so quickly.
I used the Funky hand freebie stripey paper, sentiment and the sun, yellow card - a shell cuttlebug folder to add some texture, a postcard, a freebie sand castle image and country companion mouse from a cardmaking magazine -quite a while ago.  I distressed the postcard, the embossed shell and the edges of the paper with a Tim Holtz ink pad-vintage photo.
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Get funky - At the seaside challenge ( use 1 funky hand item)
For fun challenges - kids at play
Crafty cardmakers challenge 51 summer holiday memories
Do you stack up - challenge 36 texture (used shell embossing folder & Vintage photo ink to distress).

See you soon.

Thinking of you

Hi all,

I'm a bad blogger this week I know - I've been snowed under making cards for a lady from my M.E group - she's ordered 7 cards from me and one is a word book so I've been beavering away with not much time for commenting or anything else, certainly not housework.  Over the moon though as it's quite a compliment.  Things should settle down so I will be back to normal, well as normal as I'll ever be!!!!
I've been a calamity Jane again in the kitchen as I burnt my hand yet again on the cooker, took the skin clean off part of my thumb so hand was placed yet again in frozen veg - the family think I'm really not safe in the kitchen, of all things I was cleaning the hob after greasy fried eggs for breakfast..... yuk!  WARNING cleaning can seriously affect your health.  I haven't got out of the cooking or cleaning though, worse luck!
Anyway here's my card using my new flower die from Marianne designs - a little treat. I followed a sketch from Papertake weekly.

I used: image - Squiggle Stamps Hippie Goth Girl, promarkers, papers - freebie, gems, flowers - marianne designs die, ribbon and Hunkydory glitter on the flowers and image to add some bling.

Papertake weekly - sketchie
Promarker challenge week - 115 - anything goes
Paperplay challenges -week 35 - make your own flowers
Sarah hurley challenge - 48 - bling, sparkle
Moving along with the times - challenge 114 handmade flowers
Squiggle stamps challenge - glam & glitz

Have a nice night.
