Hey Pumpkin

Hi all,

I couldn't resist getting this cute stamp.I sat and coloured it in yesterday morning then popped the card together. Nice to make a card that wasn't an order or for someone's birthday etc.... just for fun for my card box.

I was hoping to do some stamping yesterday but I couldn't find the stamp I wanted.Would you believe it, once I tidied my craft cupboard I found it.Typical eh! Oh well there's always today.
Hope you had a lovely day whatever you're up to.

Forgotten Funky time

Morning,
It's that time of the month when we re-visit a forgotten funky from Funkyhand's array of products.
It's the turn of the paper collection called Steam funk which consists of 17 backing papers, 4 digital stamps and a sheet of alphas.
There are some amazing designs in this collection and a chance to try something new if these papers etc are out of your comfort zone.Go on, give them a try. Here's a card I made with the collection on Wednesday.

Quite a different style of card for me, but great fun and quick to put together.
Why not pop over and see what the rest of the funkettes have made over at the Get funky and craft blog. So many different cards etc made from 1 paper collection.

Challenges:

Thanks for popping over to see me and to leave me such lovely comments.I really do appreciate it.

A little bit of stamping and stencilling

Morning,

I thought I'd pop by to share with you a card I made recently with my a mask and a Sheena Douglass stamp. I really must get my masks and stamps out more. As I loved making this card for my Mum in law.

Challenges:
Well I made it to the hairdressers yesterday which was an achievement in itself after the last month or so.I drove myself, as it is just around the corner and managed okay for once. It was a fine treat to get my hair coloured and cut. It's a lovely reddy brown.Sam did a gorgeous job on it. Such a fab and friendly salon.
I am hoping to pop to see Shannen's new flat this morning for the first time, so really looking forward to it.Poor lass is really missing having her tv as the aerial is needing fixed there and her washer has broken too.Guess Mummy will be doing that job for a little while.

The sun is shining so whatever you're doing today have a super day. In the last week I have had an order of 4 cards from someone who saw my blog - I am over the moon, so that'll be what I am up to this weekend. Shamus posted off the wedding card I was asked to make last Friday, so that saved me going out again.Bless him. I have been blown away by peoples kindness.

Thanks for popping by.

'Celebrations'

For my card I've used one of the stamp sets called 'Wedded bliss' which consists of 5 stamps.

Challenges:

So how was your weekend? I had some lovely visits from friends and family. So nice to catch up. On Monday I cleaned my oven - exciting hey-it doesn't get any better than that.I was very good and paced myself and those bags that you shove all the trays in save my arms from lots of scrubbing. I only did it because it was started to smoke a little - so there was no choice in the matter.
Yesterday I had some blog posts to prepare for today as well as a couple of cards.

My daughter moved back into Gilberdyke which is nice. She was fed up of the noise from the pubs etc where she was living before.Lets hope this is her last move for a while. I couldn't really help her with the move due to the last few months with my health but I contributed by doing some washing for her.

I'll be back in an hour with my last post of the day.

Happy Birthday

Hi all,

Well it's Friday already - where does the time go.........?? I thought I'd share with you the card I made yesterday with a new digital stamp I bought. I've seen it a few times and I had to have it. I followed the sketch over at From the heart stamps - i-heart-card-sketches

Hope you likey. I really enjoyed following a sketch for a change. This card is for a family members birthday next week.

Challenges:

This afternoon I've been emptying a couple of boxes of Dvds from our move 8 months ago and put them on some shelves we've recently been given.Need to get the spare bedroom looking less like a dumping ground and more like a room. Baby steps I guess. It'll get there I'm sure.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend - have you got any nice plans.I'm still taking things day by day but I'm sure there will be some crafting involved.
Thanks for popping by.

Birds,birds, birds

Hello again,

Another new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow and it's Vickie's turn to choose the theme of:

'For the Birds'

For my card I used a couple of embossing folders, cut out a circle, inked up the embossed parts with Tumbled glass distress ink, stamped a sentiment, popped some bakers twine on and found a little charm.
I decided that I didn't want to stamp an image on my card this time, I fancied doing something a bit different for me and with cleaner lines and less embellishments.

The rest of the teamies have made some amazing and inspiring creations so why not pop over and join in with us.

I made this card for my Mum and Bob to thank them for having me when I was up in Scotland for a week and they recently sent me and Shamus a food processor with a blender which I love. Mind you the first day we had it and I'd washed it up Shamus cut his hand on the blades when drying it up then a week later I caught my thumbs on them too - d'oh.....

Challenges:
Thanks for popping by, have a lovely day whatever you're up to.

Challenges:

At least I can craft - gosh what did I ever do with my time before I started crafting - can you remember cause I certainly can't.
I'll be back with another post in an hour.
