A card for my Mum
Afternoon,
Well it's spitting and blowing a gale outside so glad to be inside - miserable weather. I've had to make a few get well soon cards this week due to family members picking up that nasty cold and flu bug that keeps hanging on in there. I'm drowning under a pile of washing. Where does it come from?????? It's empty one day then full the next. Well it's been a nice steady week in the Johns household another room in the house got gutted and cleaned with the help of my daughter. It was her room and with it being half term what better time to crack on and use the help.
It would be rude not to. Here's another housemouse card:
I used: Wild Rose Studios gingham papers, card, card candi, sentiment from my stash, Housemouse Birthdays Poppy stamp set coloured with promarkers, xcut postage stamp die and a flower die cut sent from dies to die for which came as an extra something with some stamps I won I while back.
Challenges:
crafty catz weekly challenge 120 - favourite things ( Housemous stamp, ginghams and card candi)
dieing for a challenge - our first challenge -anything goes must use a Dies to Die for product
sirstampalot february challenge - in the garden theme
sarah hurley challenges 60-die cuts
stamp, scrap & doodle challenge - more than two layers
I've loved this stamp since the first time I got it but this is the first time I've used it - so cute. Over the last few days I've been trying not to have to much dimension to my cards as it costs extra to post, I'm quite liking the change. Just found out my butterfly card was picked 'In the Spotlight' over on Lets ink it up - whoopee! I also won crafty hazelnut's christmas challenge with my Tatty Teddy xmas card it was a redraw - wow!
Thanks for popping by.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge
Hi all,
I'm bursting with excitement as I have been selected to join the design team at Rubys rainbow challenge blog. So chuffed. I've been a guest designer for Fetch a Sketch before but never expected to be picked. So without further ado here's my card, it's challenge 22 and the theme is Vintage so pop along and join in if you can we'd love to see you.
I used : papers from Bo Bunny Gabrielle collection(gorgeous papers), an old butterfly stamp that I've had a few years (butterflies stamped and embossed in Sheena's wow holographic powder and cut them out), Kanban swirl stamp with the resist technique for the first time, Kaisercraft friends sentiment, lace and card candi. I had a ball creating this card and it didn't take very long. It's good to experiment.
Challenges:
oldie but a goodie challenge - lace (used an old butterfly stamp and swirl stamp)
stamps r us challenges-anything goes
charisma cardz challenge 5-things with wings
going buggy - lace and butterflies
lets ink it up challenge 20 - ribbon and/or lace (lace)
Have a great day.

Valentine's card for Hubby
Hi, back again,
Wow, 2 cards in one day as well as putting them on my blog - I obviously need a lay down - ha ha! Can't you tell I've had a steady day crafting - not much housework done, just the necessities. Nothing like it. Anyway here's my hubby's card for tomorrow - flying by the seat of my pants as usual but don't you find you don't faff about so much and get cracking. Now he's a man who doesn't like a busy card so I thought I'd better not use any backing paper this time, so added some faux stitching to make it more interesting. Are all men the same and like simple lines????? that's the million dollar question. So without further ado here it is:
I used a SWALK stamp 'a little kiss' and coloured with promarkers and did the background in distress inks, a fine tipped pen for faux stitching, Husband sentiment stamp, a heart cut out from a template and Polkadoodle red dewdrops. Hope he likes it!!!!
Challenges:
fab n funky challenge 107-love is in air
divas by design challenge 21-love is in air
hooked on craft challenge 17 - hearts
by the cute and girly - love is in air
simply create too challenge 6 - red hot
Crafters companion monthly challenge 21 anything goes
That's it from me today.

Hi,
Thank you for the lovely comments you lovely bloggers have left me on Wednesday's post. Feeling much better now and so is Shannen. Anyway here's a card I did this afternoon. I've followed a sketch from the latest challenge over at fetch a sketch and thought I'd have a go at a design from the latest Papercraft Essentials magazine by Jo Kill. So thanks Jo, great inspiration.
I used a Funky Hand paper from 'the papercraft factory cd-rom ', blue & white card, button and bakers twine. This card can be sent for any occasion.
Challenges:
fetch a sketch - challenge 17 - follow the sketch.
get funky and craft - january blues
crafty cardmakers challenge 61 - monochrome magic (blue & white)
Ces challenge 72 -lots of layers 3 or more
Challenge up your life - challenge 64 - monochrome(blue & white)
It's a different kind of card for me, it's nice to have a change. Have a lovely weekend.

Pretty Card!
Hi,
Did you think I'd got lost? Been fighting a type of virus or type of flu for the last week which affected my mobility and made me feel so weak and sleepy. It's a good day today so here's hoping! To top the week off my daughter Shan went to work on Sunday after the snow and slipped on the ice and pulled some tendons in her foot - ahhhh! Bless her she was sobbing, so I've been getting her to put her foot up and putting cold compresses on it. She's much better today so the week off from college has helped it to heal. One good thing to come out of this last week is she's been keeping me company and we've been watching lots of dramas when I've been having a rest, even got her stamping and colouring with my promarkers - better watch my crafty stash!
Anyway onto my card - not quite sure about the style of it as I think the image should have been on a plain background but Shannen loved it for her friend.
I used: fancy pants winterland papers, Go kreate frilly die, new digi stamp Delicious doodles 'phone a friend'(promarkers), new kraft card blanks, new tag sheet - craftsuprint, flowers Marianne designs, ribbon and gems.
Challenges:
paperplay challenge - week 5 - get in shape (shaped card)
Scrapbook sisters challenge 70-anything goes
papertake weekly - anything goes
sparkles forum challenge 28 - new crafty goodies(new card blanks, new digi stamp and new papers & tag)
marianne design divas - in with new (new card blank, new papers, new tag, new digi - used Ribbon flora 3 flower die & english rose flower die
Thanks for popping by and to my new follower.
