Thinking of you by Funkyhand

Morning...........

Well it's Funky Sunday and time for me to share something I made for my cousin and her hubby who's having a tough time. It's amazing how a card can perk you up - it always works for me.Even sending a card for no apparent reason just to say hello can mean so much to someone.

I used:
Embossing folder on core'dinations,
All Papers are from Funkyhand papercraft-factory Wishes-and-Kisses cdrom & Funkyhand offcuts from a download (All leftover pieces from my stash),
Flowers & leaves from Marianne designs dies.

Birthday Girl

Hi all,

Hope you've had a good week.I've been trying to rest as much as possible this week as my hectic day on Tuesday made my body crash and burn - I never learn.......Anyway I got taken to meet up with my lovely friends Sheila and Tom at Costa Coffee which was nice.My daughter drove me with me not being at my best.What a little treasure!!!! We had a nice catch up and a yummy hot chocolate and I had extra cream on mine from Sheila's mug as she didn't want it, well I could hardly let it go to waste - very naughty but very nice.We were there for an hour and swapped some craft mags etc and had a good crafty chat.

Today I've had my hair coloured and cut which feels so much better. Here's a card I put together today:

I used freebie Polkadoodles papers, sentiment & flowers cut out from 'Sundae of Seasons cdrom',banner from 'Picknix' and cut out.I added some webbing and a feather for some texture and added some card candi and faux stitching.Hope you likey!

Vintage cards

Back again,

There's a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow and the theme has been picked by the lovely Lesley which is:

'Vintage'

I used papers and tag shapes from the 'Shabby chic birds - Debbie Moore cdrom' borrowed from my lovely friend Sheila.I also used my birds embossing folder, some lace, pearls and some vintage photo ink.

I hope you like it.I was quite pleased with how it turned out and it didn't take very long either.

I'm hoping for a quieter day today as yesterday was hectic with shopping being delivered, taking Shannen to Hull for a college interview, bit of shopping, drop off the new key for the estate agent and to get the house organised for a viewing - arggh..... Then to top it off I got the time wrong for the viewing and thought it was 2pm so we got back after a cuppa out and the estate agent turned up - appointment was for 3pm - whoops so I sat in the garden while they showed them around and hubby was in the shed. Oh my what a day!!!!!

Butterflies & bows

Morning all,

It's time for a new challenge over at Nutcrafters and it's the lovely Gemma's theme of:

I used 2 embossing folders and inked both up. I also tried to do my own background on the main pic but the sky is too subtle on this pic.I used one of the new nutcrafters' 'Helping hand' digi stamp.Some bakers twine & ribbon, a die cut butterfly, sentiment from my stash were added too.

Funky Sunday

Hi all,

Had a lovely day yesterday pottering about but there wasn't much time for crafting as my Sister in law and her hubby were coming for tea so after a bit of prep they had arrived and we had a few glasses of wine and a lovely BBQ. We were sat outside till after 9 just chatting and laughing.Really enjoyed it. It's nice to not stick to a routine for a change and just kick back...

Here's a card I made using some papers from Funkyhand Autumn Wedding Papers download.

The wedding collection is a gorgeous download that can be used for so many occasions. Funkyhand is run by the extremely talented Anice who designs all the papers herself.You can keep up with all the goings on at Funkyhand over at Facebook and Get funky and craft where we post on a Wednesday and a Sunday.

I've also used my de'sire dies from crafters companion and cut out the flower and leaves from one of papers from this collection to make embellishments.

Snowman card

Hi all,

Wow hasn't it been hot - phew..... especially on a night.Nice to have to good weather though.I decided to have a play late afternoon and early evening with another wintry card.

From the Polkadoodles Magical Winter cd1 I used the wreath, bow, star, hearts and black and white snowman digi stamp(I coloured it with promarkers and added glitter .For the background I used a snowflake embossing folder and added some faux stitching with a white sakura pen. I have a confession I chopped the legs off the snowman but I'm sure he didn't mind.......
