Mother's day card

Hi,
Made a card for my Mum yesterday but didn't get time to post it on my blog yesterday so here it is.  Why is it that we know that a special day is coming up but we can't decide what to make until the last minute then whoosh we can't stop!  This happens alot to me. Thought I'd do a quick post before I pop out to post it.
Haven't done an A5 card for a while.  I've used red card -base card, matted and layed poppy image from My Craft Studio cd rom onto black card, added a verse via My Craft Studio, decoupaged the poppies and glittered them.I also used a couple of green gems and added an insert. My Mum loves poppies so I hope she likes it.  Well better go now.I'll be back soon. Enjoy the rest of your day.  Love Debs x

I'm back!!!!!!!!! Crafters Companion blog challenge too.

Hi all,

Thank you for the kind comments that were left over the last few days. Your thoughts were greatly appreciated.  All went well thank goodness and time for some crafting therapy.  Can I also say how generous crafters are!  I recently saw some mini rolled roses on a crafter's blog and asked how I could get hold of the die for them.  She got back in touch but unfortunately they were out of stock, when Jane realised this I got a lovely card and some mini rolled die cut roses in various different colours.  How kind was that.  I was so touched.  Check out Jane's blog at http://milliesmarvels.blogspot.com she's a very talented crafter.  Thank you again Jane, it made my day.

Anyway onto my challenge card for Crafters Companion monthly challenge

The theme is EASTER!

I used: Yellow card bland, purple card for matting and layering,
Swalk 2 cd-rom -backing paper,
Yellow card embossed with a flower folder-cuttlebug,
Swalk 2 stamp - friends
flower, gold ribbon, button and sentiment from my stash.

That's it for today as I have trashed my dining room/craft room with craft stuff so I need to tidy it up.  Hope you're all well.

Happy Saturday

Hi,

What a beautiful day it is.  No card to share today I'm afraid...  I've not been around much the last few days as I've been preparing for going away today.  Where does all the washing come from.  I'm going up to the Yorkshire Moors area as it's the spreading of my Auntie's ashes tomorrow who sadly passed away in December from cancer.  So I'm heading there with my Mum and meeting up with family members today.  I'm leaving my hubby and daughter at home so they'll get some peace from me.

Have a lovely weekend - hope the weather stays nice and sunny and I'll be back to normal next week.Take care.

Hi,

I made this card a couple of days ago but am only just getting around to putting it on today.  Had Physio yesterday for my back and legs, so body just wanted to rest when I got home.  Strict orders from hubby too to behave.  I have to be good sometimes.  I wanted to use one of my LOTV Love and Romance cute squares so here it is.

I made my first flowers, thought it was worth a play, very theraputic really.  Hope you like them.  I just printed them from My craft studio-papercraft cd rom, cut them out and curled them.
What did I use:
Pink card stock, black cardstock for matting and layering.
LOTV cute square,
Funky hand papers,
Pink buttons from my stash
2 handmade flowers
3 heart gems from stash.

I'm entering these in the following challenges http://getfunkyandcraft.blogspot.com - you need one funky hand product and include a heart on your project and http://movingalongwiththetimes.blogspot.com - anniversary theme.
Have a lovely weekend. See you soon.
