Forgotten Funky time

Morning,

Thank goodness for the schedule button on our blog posts - I very rarely see 6am unless I'm catching a train up to Scotland..... How are we all today? Here's hoping the rain is well away and that Mr Sunshine will be making an appearance!!!!!

It's time for the funkettes to re-visit the incredibly beautiful Funkyhand Summer Wedding paper download. The colours and designs are very soft and subtle, yet they definitely say 'summer'.Fab papers and cute little alphabets too.

Here's my card:

I decided to go all out with some heart shapes folded in half for dimension.I also wanted to use as many of the papers as I possibly could.
The rest of the funkettes are showing off their designs with the forgotten funky over at Get funky and craft inspirational blog.I'm sure they would love you to pop over and tell them what you think of their gorgeous creations.

Challenges:

Well that's it from me today. I'm hoping to pop to visit my friend Julia this afternoon, so here's hoping my body behaves itself and lets me go. Have a great day.

Things with wings

Hi all,

Did you all have a nice Bank holiday weekend.I popped to meet my Dad at Costa Coffee on Sunday which was nice. We had a nice catch up.I then planted my hanging baskets and pots.Another Spring job done.I love to see them grow.
I thought I'd share a butterflies card that I sent to my lovely friend Sheila quite a while ago. I just haven't had time to blog it.

I love this Kaisercraft butterflies stamp, it is so lovely to stamp with. I used an embossing folder and one of my distress inks to tie it all in together.

As you can see I've actually managed to put a couple of tabs at the top of my blog - I've been wanting to do it for a while and managed it over the weekend - I'm still learning so bear with me. i just wanted to make my blog a little tidier.

Hope you're all okay and I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of DT cards.

Fairy time

Hi all,
Today has been a better day as I'm moving alot better and not so stiff and sore - thank goodness. My appointment at the 'Pain clinic' went well so only one more pain medication to try.
I've had a nice afternoon colouring this stamped image. It's been sat on my side since the weekend.I got there in the end though and quite pleased with it.

This image is one of the fairy stamps from Lili of the valley - Fairy with Dove which I won a while back with some mermaid ones too.The paper pack is there's too.

Challenges:
I hope you've had a nice day. It's been a beauty again - tomorrow isn't looking so good but we've done well lately.I received my Lili of the valley stamps that I chose with my voucher that I won over a week ago, dying to play with them.

Thanks for popping by.I have started to watermark my images as I've heard lately that alot of crafter's work has been used elsewhere, so my lovely hubby downloaded a free program from the internet. and I designed it with him. Better to be safe than sorry!

Sunny Saturday

I'm not really a sun bather so thought I'd do a bit of colouring and make a card.
I used some papers, a flower and sentiment from Polkadoodles - 'Sundae of Seasons' cdrom, and this amazing digi stamp is from the lovely Nikky (Mrs Polkadoodles herself). There's still time to join in their 5th birthday blog hop and to trap the freebie images and papers of the original DT members from the beginning.

In the garden

Afternoon all,

Just a quick post today as I'm feeling a bit yukky today and can't sit at the computer for long. Between finishing this card this morning I've been hunting ants - yuk, they only seem to come out when it's just me, mind you Shamus has now seen them so has been checking for ant nests and holes - to no avail. The hunt will continue. Anyway here's my card:
I used some of the Little Claires 'fabulous day' stamp set that I won a few months ago. These stamps are amazing quality and great to colour in.

Challenges:
I've had this tag made for a while, I made it for the last Little Claires challenge but missed the deadline - what am I like, so I decided to make a card around it with a few layers.

Well that's me for now. It's time for a cuppa. Have a lovely day whatever you're up to.

A little bit more Sepia

Morning crafters,

It's my turn to do a post on our Get funky and craft blog So what did you think of our Memories in Sepia paper download that was recently released. It is one of my favourites. The papers are just so beautiful.

Here's a card I made using: this paper download, my dies, some wooden buttons and bakers twine.
This was my favourite of the 3 cards I made using the download. You also don't need to have cutting dies, simple matting and layering can produce a lovely card.As you know I love to die-cut - I probable use my ebosser so much more than I used to use to use my cuttlebug. Mind you us crafters seem to be good at collecting and building up our crafty collections.

When I was tidying up my craft cupboad I sorted out my dies and now I keep most of them in a cd wallet which is much easier and tidier.I saw this idea on someone's blog.

Thanks for popping by.

A card for Mum

Hi everyone,

How are all? Hope you've had a nice bank holiday weekend. On Saturday I went to visit my daughter Shannen at her new flat. She's been there for a month but I've not been able to go as there are quite a few stairs, but I took my time and it was so nice to see where she is living now.We made some poached eggs which I've never made before which turned out okay. Yesterday I had a lazy day and rested most of it as I was pretty sore after the day before. My Mum in law popped round which was nice. Today hubby has been working on his motorbike and I've done a little bit of crafting which I enjoyed.

Here's a card I made for my Mum recently but didn't get a chance to blog it.

I used my Sheena Douglass 'a little bit sketchy stamp'. I love this daisy stamp.I also an inked up an embossing folder and added some flowers, ribbon and pretty lace. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat - love her papers, digital stamps and sentiments.

Challenges:
I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of DT posts. Thanks for popping by my blog.
