Purple Christmas

 Hi all,

I'm late with my post today due to an impromptu weekend away to celebrate my 50th birthday which was amazing.....

It's Melanie's chosen December's challenge

'None traditional Christmas colours' so I used a Sheena stamp that I bought last year and had a fun time inking. I saw this idea in an old 'Simply cards and Paper crafting magazine '

Anyway we would love to see you over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge  as the teamies have created some beauties to inspire you.

Here's hoping you're all well. November has been a nice month of catching up with friends that I haven't seen for a long while, celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary then I spent 2 nights in a lodge near Pocklington which is just up the road from me . My daughter organised it, so we had a hot tub eek.... Quite a few gins, quality time for mother and daughter and a shopping trip near York too. I have been thoroughly spoilt by my family and friends which makes me feel so blessed. I am so lucky.

challenges:

creative knockouts - winter wonderland

incy wincy designs-christmas

Creative moments challenge-240-Winter

Thanks for popping by to see me.

October has been quite a busy month with my daughter's 28th birthday - we went and painted some pottery at a cafe in Hull called 'Tea & Bisque it' which was so much fun for 2 hours , we had cake and a yummy hot chocolate. I painted the owl. Nice to try something different. Also met up with a friend for afternoon tea, had my yearly mammagram - all clear and met another friend for coffee and cake. Ooh and I went to the cinema.

Hope you're all keeping well and taking care. Thank you for popping by, you make my day.

Pure Joy

 Hello,

Well it's Saturday 1st October.... eek so time for Sparkles forum Christmas challenge monthly challenge.

Dawn has chosen the theme - 'Holly and / or ivy so I added both to my Tag card:

Sheena Douglas' stamps came in handy for the holly and the ivy coloured by inking with my ink pads and watercolour pens on the ivy. the stencil arrived this week with my Simply cards and Papercraft magazine-perfect timing and the wooden word joy was from my stash. This card really clicked with me and I remembered how much I loved crafting again.
So why not join us and get christmas crafting.

Challenges:
Hope you're all looking after yourselves. All good here. Thank you for the lovely comments last time - I had a super relaxing week staying with my Dad in Scotland. Lots of good food, wine and relaxation.  Perfect. Been pottering in the garden this month and walking Hunter my lovely staffie everyday. Bit cold yesterday though....
Stay cosy.

Well it's not been a bad month at all here. Managed a crafty afternoon with a friend which we've been promising each other for years which was fun. Time in the garden, dog walks and for this weekend I've had my Dad visiting from Scotland for 4 nights which has been lovely.Been out for a meal, planted up my hanging baskets and we got a cold frame for my strawberries. Very productive indeed. Had a few gin and tonics and red wine too just to be sociable...
Hope you're all well. Thank you as always for popping by to see me.
