Clean & Simple

Hi all,

Well it's sunny here then it rains but not too bad really.  I've been in my craftroom pottering about to take my mind off my legs being painful.Just my M.E misbehaving and telling me to take things easier. So why not craft..... I've made a wine bottle tag for a new home gift and wanted to keep some clean lines and no layers for a change. Here it is:
I used Polkadoodles Picknix cdrom  and used the treehouse digital image, clouds and sentiment and put them into my serif programme. Added some blue panpastel to the background, coloured sentiment house - promarkers, faux stitching, bakers twine and added glitter.
Here's a close up:

April showers

Hi everyone,

Did you have a good weekend? Wasn't the weather so much better mind you the wind has caused a little havoc and blown down a few fence panels in our back garden so hubby has had to replace them as they were falling to bits.  Always a job.  The trouble is when the weather is brighter do you see more things to do around the house? I do.

Had a nice couple of hours with Shannen in Hull yesterday, she did the driving which was good for me.We took a few things back that were faulty and bought a few essentials.  Then finished up having a bite to eat. Nice quality time!!!

I've had more washing out on the line today - gosh I'd forgotten how nice everything smells from being outside. Bit more ironing but hey ho that's life.  Managed to fit some crafting in today.

I used a pre-coloured image from Polkadoodles'double sprinkles of kraft' and added an umbrella and backing paper from 'Sundae of seasons' to a kraft bag.I also embossed a rain drop stamp over the whole image - hope you can see it and some stamped umbrellas on the backing paper. I cut out some wellies to use as a tag, added card candi, lace bow, ribbon and a wooden bird.

Challenges:
crafty calendar challenge-april-challenge
polkadoodle week-15-challenge-april-showers
lexi's creations challenge-88-lace and/or ribbon

crafty cardmakers challenge-89-tag card-matching-gift-wrap
oldie but a goodie challenge - make-it-girly - new kraft bag, new sheena stamps(rain & umbrella) and old lace and cdrom images

Right I'm off to watch something with my hubby.

Pink,black & funky

Hi all,

Here's a card I've just made.  Isn't it weird how when an idea just springs to mind then it ends up totally different to what you expected when you start looking at your stash - that's the beauty of crafting.
I used: - It's all about Polkadoodles today -Polkadoodle stamp(promarkers(paper-pieced too& sentiment - so cute isn't she!,  pretty sweet cdrom papers & other cd papers, buttons, papermania borders from my stash.Forgot how much fun paper piecing can be.

crafty catz weekly challenge-177 anything-goes

Having a quiet crafting day today.  Did a few jobs around the house yesterday.

I had my friends Sheila and Tom pop by on Thursday which was lovely. As usual we never stopped talking and she brought some lovely dies and embossing folders for me to try out in my Ebosser while they were here. I started to run out of steam physically so Tom took over with the ebosser.  I sent her home with some magazines and a few stamps to try out.  That's what crafting is all about - SHARING!!!!  Thanks again to you both - it made my day you popping by.

I was out on Friday looking at cars with Shamus - couldn't test drive it as I've still got a dodgy left arm - no idea what I've done - things just tend to happen like that to my body. Shamus got to drive one though. Then we popped to Frankie and Benny's in Selby to test their lovely breakfasts again - syrup pancakes yummy but rather naughty - Hey ho.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone and thank you so much for following me.

Lots of tags!

Hi all,

Hope you're enjoying your bank holiday Monday.  I will be at the 'White Rose Centre' in Leeds as this goes live for a little retail therapy with my daughter Shannen.  She'll be my chauffeur for most of the journey so hopefully i won't be too tired afterwards.

Anyway it's time for a new challenge over at Sparkles christmas challenge blog and it's the lovely Sandra's  turn to choose the theme so it's:
'Tag it'

The sponsor for this month is:
Di's digi downloads

the winner will receive a fab $10 voucher to spend on her gorgeous images!
For my gift bag with lots of tags I used a Fancy Pants freebie pad and cut out some tags, punched a hole and added raffia. Then I just made some pockets with some different sized strips of backing paper and just added a few gems.I'm quite pleased how it turned out for a change.Isn't it funny how a sheet of backing paper can give you an idea.

Challenges:

We'd love to see all your creations using the 'Tag it' theme so see you over there.
