Spooky treats

Its that time of the month again for me to share with you one of Funkyhand's 'Forgotten Funkies download!!! So each month the fabulous Funkettes will be on the Get funky and craft blog showing off some new makes using some older downloads.

Today's download is called 'Spooky Dookie'.
It might have lots of papers with a Halloween theme but there are lots of papers that can be used for everyday occasions.

Aren't these papers fabulous....  I haven't used them before so it was fun to work with it. You have a choice of so many zingy bright papers

I decided to use my other new We R Memory Keepers box making board. This is my 2nd attempt, my 1st one was a trial and worked out. Must try out some different sizes too as the instructions were so easy to follow.

I'm not a big one for Halloween as I have no kiddies at home but I always like to keep some sweeties in case they knock on the door all dressed up.

Yesterday was an early start at the Doctors for me - I've got Tendonitis which is why my left shoulder and arm have been so sore and useless. Told to keep taking the painkillers and apply some heat. At least I know what it is. Offered me an injection in a couple of weeks if it's not any better.
Then Shannen drove me to Goole to meet up with my friend who I tutored with for a nice Latte and half a toasted teacake and a crumpet. No cakes on offer at all, can you believe it! Shannen did some food shopping while I chatted...

Have a nice day whatever you're up to.

Autumn fun

Here I am again with my Midway Reminder time for Nutcrafters and it's Helen's turn to chose the theme of:

'Anything but square'
So any shape of card etc..... as long as it's not square.

I was so busy colouring in my image and choosing my paper that I forgot until the last minute that I needed a shaped card - what am I like?? So I decided on a triangular shaped card.

I used the 'Autumn Breeze digi stamp from Nutcrafters and the backing paper was a Funkyhand freebie quite a while ago.

We'd love to see what you make so why not pop over and see what the rest of the teamies have made and join in with us.Please feel free to use a Nutcrafters freebie image too.

Did you all have a good weekend? It was so nice seeing my Mum, Sister and cousins. We all stayed for 3 nights just outside of Hull in a Premier Inn.Lots of good food and lots of laughs.I've never laughed so much for ages. My Sister got me some Biofreeze spray for my arms, which helped but still having to be careful.May pop to the Docs this week for a check up.

Have a lovely day whatever you're up to.I've got a couple of birthday cards to do and to get posted.

A little bit of Santa Baby......

Here I am with a card I put together yesterday for my DT post over at Get funky and craft.. I looked through my Funkyhand left over papers folder and decided to use the  'Santa baby' paper download. It is full of yummy pastels and whatever Anice creates there are papers to suit any occasion.

Sorry I teased you with the title but it's not a Christmas card...... and all the papers are from this download - would you believe it!

I took a couple of pics to show you how I ended up with the card above. With my scraps I only printed out 1 sheet of A4 paper.

To start with:
I cut out lots of circles with my circle cutter
and I trimmed a couple of strips of card.

I saw an idea with the circles on pinterest this morning and had to try it.

Add a few pieces of card candy and some bakers twine then you're all done.
Lots of fun.

Thanks for popping by. I'll be back at 9am with another post.

Lots of blue

Hello again,
Another new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow and it's Valou's turn to choose the theme of:
'Anything goes

We'd love you to pop over to us at Ruby's Rainbow to see what the rest of the DT have created as well as joining in with the challenge, you will love all the inspiration.

Today I decided to share with you 1 of the cards I recently made for a lady who had looked on my blog and liked my cards. How kind is that, needless to say I was blown away. She picked a card that I'd made a couple of years ago so this is my updated version with a fresher feel. I also got an order of 3 more cards from this lady so I was over the moon.

The dress is a kanban stamp. It has been paper-pieced.The papers is a crafters companion cdrom.

Hopefully my post has gone live while I am being taken into Hull by my hubby.Need to check where we are going on Friday for my Great Aunts internment. Her ashes are being brought up from down south so she can go in with her parents as she wished.
Also if I'm well enough a quick look in Makro to get my large tins of hot chocolate to stock up my cupboards.Maybe grab a coffee too.

Have a nice day whatever you're doing. Thanks for popping by.

I know it's another pyramid/tee pee card but it's so different to any other card shape..... I used funkyhand papers, buttons, twine and the diigi stamp is called 'Puzzler.'

So what's everyone been up to? Anything fun? Yesterday I dusted, did some washing and sat and sorted out all the receipts and outgoings all afternoon - such fun. Here's hoping today will be a good day for me and you.

Good morning,

I've already had my shopping delivered today. something had leaked onto a few of my bags so had to do a lot of wiping and drying before everything got put away.Nightmare!!!! good job it was washing up liquid and not milk.

The sun is shining so hoping my bedding will dry and that I get a chance to craft today.Still being good and taking things easy.My arms are improving so long may it continue.

Thanks for popping by.

Flappy Birthday

Afternoon lovely blogger friends,

I am trying hard to keep my post to a minimum as I'm still trying to rest my left arm as its still quite sore.Popped it in a sling and trying to rest it as much as possible.Hubby is washing up, hanging the washing out and even seeing to our teas - wonderful man.

Here's a card I made this afternoon as I couldn't sit watching Tv all day, needed a tiny bit of crafting. I also followed my lovely blogger buddy Ruth's tutorial for making a Pyramid/Tee Pee card. Thanks Ruth!!!

I used gingham paper and the digi stamps from the stamp a month from the heart stamps-flappy-birthday-birdbrain, so fun coloured with spectrum noirs.

Have a nice weekend.

Happy Birthday Hubby

Back again with a quick post.
It's my lovely hubby's birthday today so, Happy Birthday Shamus, you are the love of my life!!!
I wanted to share the card I was making yesterday for him - I am so last minute...... nothing ever changes. He loves motorbikes so I managed to add a pic of his lovely Kawasaki project.
As we know men don't like a lot of fuss or a card that is mega busy.Clean and simple is the name of the game for him. I even added strips of ribbon to the card as I didn't have the right bakers twine, it doesn't look like ribbon though so that's good.

Have a great day whatever you're up to.I'm hoping to persuade hubby to go out for a cuppa later, if not we'll have a nice tea at home tonight and some yummy birthday cake.

Big hugs
