Thank you cards

Hi all,
Here I am with a few thank you card ideas, which come in really handy all through the year especially just after Christmas. It's so nice to receive a little thank you card.

So what did I use: 3 A4 sheets of papers from the 'In Sympathy' collection from 'Wishes and Kisses Cdrom' scissors and glue
To create the sentiments from the cdrom I picked a paper, sent it to the workspace, clicked templates, dragged sentiment panels over, clicked writer and typed in 'thank you'. You can alter the font and size, click view, drag it to where you want it to go then print it off. For the other two sheets I just printed them off.  It's as easy as that...

I made 3 cards:

1st card - I cut a couple of panels, matted and layered onto black thin card, cut some flowers out, added glitter with a glue pen and a little bit of decoupage. Then finish off with a  chopped down sentiment panel.

2nd card - I used a dotty embossing folder, cut & embossed 3 postage stamp shapes using spellbinders dies and inked it to highlight the embossing. Next I  added a black panel to matt them onto it, added some card candi and a sentiment panel.

3rd card - I embossed the card front using a swirl embossing folder, cut out the scallop shapes on the backing papers to make 2 shaped edges - you don't need to be precise with the scissors either. Last but no means least add a sentiment panel.

Challenges:

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas.  Don't forget we'd love to see anything you've made using any Funkyhand product so pop over and join in over at Get funky and craft.
Bye for now

Merry Christmas to you all

Hi all,

Now I told you I'd be back didn't I!  True to my word - sometimes... Well the pressies were wrapped last night while I was on the phone to my Sis (multi-tasking eh..) - when she knew I was wrapping I was reminded that Christmas was only 2 days away to which I just chuckled and said I knew and everything would be fine.  Why stress now!  The card stash is all tidied away so that we can use the dining room table.
1. The veggies were prepped this morning with the help of my hubby - he was in charge of the sprouts and the chopping of the chestnuts,

2.  My nails were done at the salon at 9am (pressie from my Sis for my 40th),

3.   The cards were written for my neighbours and delivered by my little elf - Shannen - bless,

4.  The kettle was on for the arrival of my Dad whom came armed with pressies and a couple of lovely pieces of pork for xmas dinner - what a sweetheart.  Anice cuppa was had then lunchtime finished off with a little ironing and I mean a little....

5. Tea is over with so I thought I'd have a nice cuppa before a nice bath while hubby takes my daughter to work at the pub - no rest for the wicked!!!!

And that's me, so I'd like to wish all my lovely followers and blogging friends:

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
and thank you for all your help,
support and plenty of laughs.
All the best and see you all soon.

Before I go I've been very lucky lately and want to say thank you as I've come 2nd in the Polkadoodle Challenge blog twice, won a £10 Wild Orchird Crafts voucher through Bev and some goodies over at the Ribbon Girls.  Quite a few weeks I'd say.

Hope everyone's doing okay.  I had a busy week again last week cracking on with some DT work and my Sister and Nephew came to visit so it was a lovely few days then I went to my first craft show at Doncaster - Stamp Magic at 'The Dome'.  Great stands but the access was horrendous for wheelchair users and people who can't walk far etc....  Great to get in at the start but we left at 10.30, only got there at 9.45 as it was getting too crowded and trying to get out of the hall was horrendous as people were just streaming in- very lucky that my husband took me and could push me. Went for a coffee before leaving the dome and tried to use the disabled toilet which was out of order so used my stick to use the ladies where a fantastic lady dropped her bags and helped me in - bless her.Was washing my hands when I overheard someone saying my skirt was short - in fact it was a long top over some black leggings - flabbergasted I said 'don't worry I've got leggings on so no knickers showing' - how rude people can be luckily I laughed it off ....  Needless to say I won't be going there again sadly as it was too much of an ordeal.  Hope anyone who went had a great day.

Here's some goodies I treated myself too:
Have a great day whatever you're doing.

Have a lovely day whatever you're up to.

Guest DT card for Nutcrafters

Hi all,

Well what have I been up to this week.  I've been resting my voice and it's actually back so no more squeaking whoopee!!!! Well maybe a little.... I've had plenty of relaxation time while I've been quiet to make some family birthday cards, October is a busy month - 3 birthdays this week and 2 next week.  Why do I always leave it to the last minute?  Does anyone else do this?  Oh to be organised.

Guess who has got a Guest designer spot with the fabulous girlies over at Nutcrafters  for October and November? Yeah little old me - so chuffed.  Thank you for having me.  So please feel free to pop over and join in with the latest challenge which is Paper Piecing.  There is even freebies for you to use.  Can't wait to see what you produce.

Here's a Christmas card I made today using a new release digital stamp from Nutcrafters

I used one of the new release digital stamps called  'Pudding Santa' and paper pieced part of the pudding and santa then used promarkers, paper from stash , embossing folders, tag, red string, charm, glitter, chipboard letters and dew drops.

Challenges:
Christmas card challenge - Use Chipboard
holly jolly christmas challenge - glitter and bling
cutie pie challenge use a digi-entered previously challenge :27,26,23,20,17

Been to get my hair done so feel all posh now. New woman well not quite.... Hope you're all okay and having a nice day whatever you're up to.  Thank you for all your lovely comments - much appreciated.
