Spring has sprung!

Hi all,

It's Friday already...... I decided to use my new spring papers that I'd won on the Funky hand blog hop this week. The papers are beautiful - how lucky am I.  I just had to use them, it would be rude not to.  Well my wonderful daughter has been busy  ironing, hanging washing out and hoovering today as my body is aching and misbehaving.  She's a star!
Here's my card, I also followed the sketch over at Fetch a sketch:

I used my spring funky hand papers, butterflies and trees were cut out from these too. Sentiments and flowers were from the same collection and I made the flowers with my Marianne Designs dies and Go kreate die for to cut the paper into shapes to match my card shape.

Challenges:

fetch a sketch challenge-20
get funky and craft - celebrating spring challenge
Ladybug crafts little challenge - flowers and butterflies
CES challenge-78-photo inspiration
creative card crew-spring

Have a lovely weekend.  Can I welcome my new follower and thank all my regular followers for their kind comments.  I've just had a bouquet of flowers arrive from my lovely Mum in Scotland wishing me well so I'd better pop them in some water.

Easter basket.

Evening all,

Another quick post as I'm having a few problems using my right arm for any length of time so please bear with me if I haven't commented much lately.  Trying to rest it as much as I can, just another symptom of my M.E.-it's terrible having to watch my daughter tackle the growing ironing pile - bless her.I know I'll do anything to avoid housework!!!!!!  At least I can still craft in small doses. Here's a box I altered to become an easter basket - I had a light bulb moment, it happens now and again.

Over at nutcrafters they have a bingo challenge which I followed for my basket.

I used a box and altered it into a basket, used easter papers free from an old Creative Cardmaking magazine, yellow card, used a punch on handle, Nutcrafters digi stamp-coloured with promarkers, faux stitching with a fineliner pen, ribbon and gems.

Challenges:

Needless to say we had to test the eggs to check they were edible.  Have a lovely weekend.

Mum in laws card

Hi all,

I hope you've had a lovely Mother's Day - I know I have.  My daughter got me a beautiful wall hanger that says 'If Mums were flowers I'd pick you' and a bunch of flowers.  How lucky am I.  I dropped her at work this morning as she is alot better now and I had some vouchers for M&S that ran out today so I arranged to meet my Dad there for a cuppa and we caught up with each other's news.  Had a fine piece of carrot cake too - yum.  I get on so well with my Dad, he's such a sweetie. My Mum's in Scotland so I missed seeing her today but I've spoke to her and we'll catch up aand see each other at the end of April, can't wait.  So what did I get in M&S - a lovely necklace and bracelet that has wooden beads and silver beads on.  Love jewellery!!!  Anyway onto the card I made for my Mum in law, I had a mad crafting day yesterday so that I could deliver it on time the same day.  It wouldn't have been so manic if I'd gone as planned today but my daughter wanted to go too so that's why we went yesterday.  She loves to cook so here's the card:
I used:
Free Template downloaded - Papercraft Inspirations Making Spot, ribbon, freebie spoons from Cardmaking & papercraft mag, computer sentiment, papermania capsule collection papers and doily die.

Challenges:
By the cute and girly - march in the kitchen

Boy's card -white space!

Hi,

Well it's been a busy day already getting my daughter out of the door for her weekend at Butlins. She was excited but a but scared bless her! She will have a ball.  While she's away my hubby suggested decorating our bedroom - glad I was sitting down or I might have fainted...... So we got some teal paint for one wall and had a pale mocha colour for the rest. So we'll see what happens! She's back on Monday so we'll sleep in her bed away from any paint smells.  I decided to do a less is more card today in the shape of a tag.  Saw the template in my stash and thought that'll make a change. So here it is:

How lucky am I!

Hi all,

I am totally blown away to receive this award from Keryn.  She is a pretty new follower but leaves me some lovely comments.  Please pop over and visit her blog.  She makes some beautiful creations, so a big thank you to you Keryn.  I was awarded this on Monday 27th February but it's taken me abit of time to pop it on.
The Concept behind this award is this:
"Liebster" in German means "dearest". The idea of this award is to spread the love from one small blog(under 200 followers) to other small blogs.

I have received this award once before.  I think it was last year!
To accept the award, you must:
1) Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.
2) Post the award to your blog.
3) Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4) Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know.
The following people have motivated and inspired me!
I'd like to award the following blogs:

I also was awarder this award again this week by the lovely Sarah from plain and fancy papercrafts blog.
I've been blown away by such generosity in just a week so a big Thank you to Sarah.  Please pop over and see her lovely blog too. So I need to award another 5 people this is the hardest bit as there is so much talent out there:
(she has just over 200 followers but I think she deserves it)

Another fab sketch from Fetch a sketch

Hi all,

Well I've been crafting away this morning to make the deadline at fetch a sketch which is 12 noon. I loved the sketch so fancied a go. I was planning to craft yesterday but the day just disappeared so I was determined today would be the day.  I've had a lovely week with Wednesday managing to get back to my volunteering - we made fish cakes and bread and butter pudding for lunch- my mouth is watering even now -yum.  It was gorgeous, sorry if I'm tempting you...... On Friday I took Shannen into Hull to get a few bits for her weekend away next week. Lets just say the credit card got a battering.  I did manage to treat myself to A Simply cards magazine as I fell in love with the free papers and we popped into Hobbycraft and my daughter reminded me that I needed a bigger acrylic block for my bigger stamps.  Shan picked it out for me too.  She's so excited to be going to Butlins at Skegness, bless her it'll be her first long weekend away with friends.  She'll have a ball.  Anyway here's the sketch and my card:
I used the freebie backing cloud paper at funky hand, hot air balloon digi stamps from Funky Hand Papercraft Factory cd-rom, a nellie doily die for the base to put my rosette on, card candi black card and gems.

Challenges:
fetch a sketch challenge-18
get funky and craft - flying high challenge
paper crafting journey-challenge 4-anything goes
crafts 4 eternity-digital delights - use a digital stamp etc
creative inspirations challenge 152-anything goes

I'm having a quiet day today as we had my husband's sister and brother in law for tea last night.  It was a great night, I've never laughed so much in ages and all helped down by a few glasses of wine drunk very responsively of course.  Slept like a baby last night. Hope you have a super day whatever you are doing.
