Special Mum in law

What a lovely afternoon I've had with my beautiful daughter in between her busy work schedule.I got some gorgeous flowers, a lovely mug and a gorgeous meal out - yummy...... So spoilt.
How lucky am I!

Here's a card I made for my Mum in law.Me and Shannen popped yesterday to deliver it with some hyacinths in a lovely pot.

I used my hero arts stamp and inked it with my brilliance ink pad - I love the colour. I also didn't have any matching backing papers so I used a butterfly mask, embossed it with my ebosser and inked it.Perfect match.

Challenges:
Hope you've all had a really special day.

Love you Mum

Hi all,

I would like to wish all the Mums' out there a Happy Mothers Day. I hope you're having a very special day.
I made a card for my Mum out of the beautiful Funkyhand-Mother of mine recent download. It was only available for a limited time. The papers are just so pretty and zingy. My sister in law wanted a card similar to this one for her Mum and she loved the wall hanger and wanted that too. I blogged it last Thursday.I felt very honoured that she liked what I'd made.

I plan to have a nice relaxing day and my lovely daughter will be popping around in between working, bless her. My Mum is in Scotland so I'll be chatting to her today too. She really is the best Mum ever. She's my best friend too and we chat every day.
Challenges:

Have a lovely day.

Bee lucky

Hi lovely crafters,

Here's a card I put together this morning, it was prepped yesterday but I hadn't coloured it in.Now that my shopping has been delivered and put away I had time to play.Whoever invented online shopping for groceries I could not thank them enough - as there is no way I would be able to scoot around the supermarkets in a scooter to do it all. Just not able to anymore. I'm all for saving energy if I can so I can craft.... It's a no brainer....Anyway enough chatter here's my card:
I've used some papermania papers, bakers twine, a charm and a lovely image from Honey bee buckets from Meljens designs - coloured with promarkers and spectrum noir pens.

Isn't the bee cute!

Challenges:
Thanks for popping to see me.Have a lovely day. It's a bit breezy in East Yorkshire so staying cosy inside today.

Mother of mine

Hi all,
I'm here to share the new download that has just been released by funkyhand for all our lovely Mums, whether you call her Mum, Mom or Mam.There is a download to cover them all. Each set is £2.99.

Photo: Here is the new Mothers day downloads. There are three of them. We noticed that we all call our Mother different things, Mom, Mum and (in the North East alot) Mam. So, Anice created three different collections using all the names. In each collection there are 6 backing papers and then a coloured digital stamp. But that is not all! There is also the black and white version of the digital stamp and two pngs. So, you can colour them yourself and layer them as you want to. You need to be aware though, these downloads are only available until 24th March then they are gone. Grab one today! www.funkyhand.com
You get 6 gorgeous backing papers,
a hand drawn digital image,
1 digital image coloured to match the papers
1 black and white digital image for you to colour in jpeg and png versions.

Here's what I made with the Mum download:

To make this I used 3 mini canvases which only cost me 99p,
I cut out the papers and the pre-coloured digital image to size,
glued them to the canvases,
added some die-cut flowers and attached a ribbon to the back of them.

Why not try it and post on our facebook page or leave us a link in the
comments on Get funky and craft. This is where I have shared this post too.
It can be any make with funkyhand papers etc.It would just be nice for me and the rest of the funkettes to visit your blog and leave you a comment.
Challenges:
That's all from me for now.Have a funky day.

'Happy Birthday'

So I decided to use my new flower mask from Clarity Stamp Chrysanthemum 7 x 7 stencil.Isn't it beautiful.I decided to try embossing onto vellum and loved the effect. I also embossed it on the card background too. Hope you like it - very different for me but fun to try a something different. My lovely friend Sheila ordered this stencil for me as she is a member of the club and she also got treated me to a gorgeous Giraffe stamp and another stencil which I love.I am so lucky to have such a good friend like her.

Happy Anniversary

Hi lovely crafters,

How are we all today? I've been doing some washing, tidying up and a little bit of crafting of course.  This is the first day that I'm feeling more like my old self.My head has felt pretty good today just a bit of a headache now - so here's hoping those nasty headaches are gone for a few days at least - fingers crossed.

After being weighed at the doctors lately and to realise I am 11and a half stones - whoops. So it is day 2 of eating healthily. My Mum and Shannen are doing the same with hubby bringing up the rear so lots of support for us all to keep it up.Exercise isn't really an option so watching what we eat is necessary. No more kidding myself.

Here's an Anniversary card I've made this afternoon using a lovely digital stamp called  'Love strung birds' from Meljens designs. Their images are so good.
I also used some papers from Papermania.I coloured the image with promarkers.

Challenges:

Well it's cuppa tea time so time to go.Have a nice evening.I'll be back tomorrow.

Green Monochrome + 1 other colour

Hi all,

Back again with another post to tell you about the new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow and the lovely Angela has chosen the theme is:

'Monochromatic Green + 1 other colour'

I didn't plan this card to turn out like this but I really like it. Pretty pretty.
I used a freebie peacock embossing folder and inked it up, the sentiment & leaves stamps are Sheena Douglass ones, the corner die-cuts are a trellis cut in half then I added buttons and bakers twine.

I love how these leaves stamped out and then I cut around them - they are really nice.I didn't even realise all the extra bits in the sentiment stamp sets. You don't need to use distress inks either to ink up your embossing folders etc - I used my small green memento ink pad. I only own a few distress inks & memento inks so it just shows you that we don't have to have an endless supply of ink pads etc of all the different makes.

Why not join in with us and check out what the rest of the teamies have made.

Challenges:

Have a lovely day whatever you're up to.I've been at home alot lately so my hubby took me to Makro for a cuppa and to get my tins of hot chocolate. It was nice to be out but I shouldn't have really gone.Even if I may not be able to get out and about much at the moment,I can still play with my crafty stash.
