My Dad's card

Hi all,

Back again, with a new challenge over at Rubys Rainbow with 3 items our lovely and talented Silvi would like to see on your creations:

'Twine, buttons & embossing'

This is a card I made my lovely Dad for his birthday, as you can probably guess he's a farmer, so I had to get this fantastic 'ploughing' digital stamp from Delicious Doodles.

We'd love you to pop over and join in with us over at Ruby's Rainbow. The DT have made some lovely creations to inspire you.

Challenges:
So what have you all been up to this week so far? I had a lovely day out visiting my friends Sheila and Tom on Monday. Before I visited them I popped into Next and tried on some tops and trousers and came out with 2 tops and 2 pairs of trousers - a nice little treat for me - whoops.I stayed at my friends house for most of the afternoon and we had a really good catch up as well as some crafty chit chat - it would be rude not to!!!!! Sheila is so generous - she sent me home with a few crafty bits to borrow and play with bless her.
I'd love to hear what you've been doing.
Remember this is the last day to enter my candy.

Thanks for popping by and supporting me.

Look what I've been given.

Evening all,

Look what the lovely Jo has passed onto me, I am so touched to have received this award.Thank you so much Jo, it means such alot to me.Jo is so kind and thoughtful and a very valued blogging friend.

Here's some questions that Jo asked and my answers:

1. What's your favourite thing to make? I love making anything to do with stamping and papercrafting.
2. What's your favourite colour combo? At the moment it's yellow and white, but it changes.
3. What's your favourite craft thing to buy? Dies.
4. Do you have your own craft space? I use the sun room. Most of my crafty tools etc.. are in there.
5. What craft item would you be lost without? My embosser.
6. Do you craft to music or TV? Mostly to the TV.
7. Are you a messy crafter? Definitely, I spread out along any available workspace.
8. What do you prefer markers, pencils, inks? I love working with them all but markers are my favourite.
9. What do you do if Mr Mojo goes walkabout? I look through my magazines, pinterest and friend's blogs.
10. What's your worst craft mishap? Since I've had the ebosser from time to time, putting my dies on my magnetic mat wrongly and I end up cutting shapes out of my mat. I've done it so many times.
11. If money was no object and you could buy any craft item, what would it be? It would be adding to my collection of spectrum noirs.

Now I have to choose 5 blogging friends who have less than 300 followers. They are:

Sandra (http://sandra-nanagramps.blogspot.co.uk/)
Tammy (http://dropletsinarustybucket.blogspot.co.uk/)
Shaz (http://craftylittleblogger.blogspot.co.uk/)
Shell (http://shellshearer.blogspot.co.uk/)
Angela (http://angela-justmonkeyingaround.blogspot.co.uk/)

I know you are busy ladies so I understand if you don't do awards or just don't have time.
The questions I'd like you to answer are:
1. How long have you been crafting?
2. What is your favourite card occasion to make for?
3. What was the last craft item that you bought?
4. Where do you craft?
5. Do you prefer to craft with cdroms or paper packs/decoupage..?
6. Do you prefer stamps or digital stamps?
7. Do you like to work from sketches or see how the mood takes you?
8. If you could have any crafty tool or item, what would it be?
9. Do you attend a regular craft club?
10. Are pre-coloured images your preference or do you like to colour?
11.Do you buy any crafty magazines, and if so which ones and why?

Well that's it from me, it's over to you ladies now to choose 5 blogging friends who have under 300 followers to award and to set your own questions. Thank you for being such inspiring crafters and friends to me,especially you Jo.

Big hugs Debs x

Happy Easter

Hi everyone,

Well would you believe that I had trouble getting Easter eggs yesterday? I know I'd left it abit late but usually they are everywhere. Asda didn't seem to have a big choice. Now I did try and be organised a few weeks ago and ordered them with my online shopping but they were all substitutions so I returned them - whoops....

I managed to get Shan one and a couple of little ones for me and Shamus seeing as we are watching our weight and trying to be good. He's lost over a stone and I've lost 9lbs whoop whoop. It's actually not that hard to eat better and to cut the portion sizes down.Anyway I was even a good girlie jut having a coffee and no naughties when I met my friend Julia for a cuppa at Costa yesterday.

Here's a little easter bag that I've made today with the gorgeous freebie download from Nikky at Polkadoodles.
Cute freebie papers too.Thank you Nikky Hall -gorgeous digi's.The bow and the flowers are from the Polkadoodles cdroms that I had in my scrap folder.Hope you likey.
Challenges:

Have a super duper Friday and a lovely weekend.

New Job

Morning all,

How are all my lovely crafting friends today? Hope you are all okay.
Now what have I been up to this week: I had a lovely visit from my friends Sheila and Tom on Monday for a few hours. It was lovely to catch up with them and to have a little bit of crafty chat.Yesterday I had a lazy day as I was pretty sore with a little bit of crafting of course.

Here I am with a card using a recent forgotten funky - Funkyhand Shabby Saturday. I needed to make a card for my daughter as she has just started a new job doing home care and I wanted to show her how proud we are of her. Would you believe the only item I printed out was the insert to the card, everything else was in my left over file.

On 1 of my recent posts over on Get funky and craft  and on here I'd took a picture of how I store my left overs. As soon as I posted that picture I had to do something to make them more accessible:

Much tidier and easier to find the download left overs in my file now. So why not get your funkyhand bits and pieces out and craft with us. We'd love you to pop over to Get funky and craft to leave a comment and a link to your blogs or go to our Facebook page.
